Treffen 2017The Appalachian Region is located in an area with many wonderful driving roads, and frequently organizes tours through them. Here are some drives we've taken during recent Region events. Treffen Asheville Tours – These are the turn-by-turn directions for the tours we developed for Treffen Asheville. All begin at the Asheville Outlet Mall, 800 Brevard Road, end at the Grove Park Inn, and have an interesting destination. If you are staying at the GPI, we've included driections to the Mall. Appalachian Adventure 2016 Tours – We developed these for the Adventure. All begin at the Fontana Village Resort (link). Driving directions to the Resort.
From I40 take exit 27 to for Highway 74 (Great Smoky Mountain Expressway). Stay on Highway 74 past Clyde and Sylva. Eight miles past Bryson City turn right onto Highway 28. Continue on Hwy 28 for 25 miles, then turn left onto Woods Road.
