On August 20 we enjoyed drives through the North Carolina mountains to Cedar Mountain, for breakfast near the South Carolina border.

This is is prime tourist country and the Cafe is well known, so finding a place to park required persistance and initiative. Of course the place was crowded, so we were scattered inside and on the patio. The result was that the wait staff had to dodge folks table hopping with white Appalachian name badges, but nobody seemed to mind. As we expected, the food was good, and as usual for a ramble to Cedar Mountain, the evet was sold out. If you missed it, resolve to register earlier next time, or take a drve there on your own.
