A summary of our recent and upcoming events.

Message from the President

Porsche driving season is well underway with events almost every weekend. We start the month with the sold-out Drive & Dine Mountain Brook Vineyards tour with 25 Porsches and 43 members. There is a wait list for this drive so if you can't make it, please let us know so we can accommodate others.

On the same weekend, we have 10 members going to Road Atlanta for an HPDE event. Our HPDE program has really become active. If you have ever thought that you would like to learn about the performance of your Porsche in a safe environment, this is the way to experience your car.

Porsche celebrates their 75th anniversary on June 8th and the Appalachian Region will recognize this date with a Steak dinner and program at The Monte Vista Hotel in Black Mountain. At the dinner we will hear about the start of Porsche, a 356 barn find story and will recognize 50-year PCA members.

Porsche Parade also occurs in the month of June. Its location in Palm Springs, California is limiting attendance by Appalachian Region members. If anyone is attending from the region, please let me know.

On June 20th at Porsche Parade PCA will announce the winner of the Region of the Year, Public Service Region and Enthusiast of the Year. I believe Appalachian Region is deserving of all three awards, but we will have to wait and see what the judges think.

Appalachian Adventure '23 isn't until September, but hotel reservations will open on June 15 so put the event on your calendar and plan on booking your room in June. The event moves this year to the Waynesville Inn & Golf Club. The resort will be welcoming the Appalachian Region after a $27 million renovation to the resort, rooms, banquet facilities and grounds. Waynesville will provide a great jumping off spot for drives and the grounds will provide a beautiful green space for the concours. Read more about the event below or go to the web site www.Appalachian-Adventure.com

Watch for Appalachian Adventure hotel sign-up this month, during the June 15 sign-ups.

Drive on!
