March Events You Can Still Attend

Sierra Nevada Social Mixer is on THURSDAY, March 16: The kitchen is not open on Wednesday so we are meeting Thursday, March 16, not on the usual Wednesday. This is a casual drop-in meet-up at Sierra Nevada Brewery, 100 Sierra Nevada Way, Mills River, NC from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. No registration is necessary. Here are details on the gathering. This is always one of our largest Social Mixers of the year; come join us.

Tech Session: Using a Diagnostic Tool on Your Porsche & a Tech Roundtable

The March Tech Session on Saturday, March 25 will provide an overview of how to use a Scanner Tool to diagnose maintenance issues on your Porsche and clear the codes. A Tech Roundtable will follow for an open discussion on maintenance issues. Registration is open using this link.

Sign Up Now to Autocross on April 1, 2023

The Appalachian Region Autocross Program Chair, Don Therien has announced the first Autocross for the Appalachian Region to attend together. The first event we will be attending as a Region is a Highland Sports Car Club Autocross event on April 1, 2023 in Franklin, North Carolina.

 Porsche to Peaks Wildflower Walking Tour

The first hike of the Porsche to Peaks series is actually a walking tour that is guided by club member and Botanist Matt Sprouse. The Wildflower walking tour takes place on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. The walking tour is on the Betty Place 1.2 mile trail just outside of Hot Springs. It is an easy trail with little elevation gain.

The focus is on identifying early spring wildflowers while Matt provides interesting facts and features on the plants you discover during the walk. The groups are limited to 12 people so there will be two walking/hiking sessions; one at 9:30 a.m. and one at 1:30 p.m. For more information, click on this link.

Breakfast at the Dixie

The Appalachian Region Breakfast Ramble returns to the Dixie Diner in Hendersonville. You find your own way to The Dixie and then join other members for breakfast at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023. To register, click this link.

Black Mountain Perks

Black Mountain Perks will be perking Tuesday morning, April 11, 2023 at 9:00AM. Come out and meet up with Porsche friends while having some pastries, fruit, and gourmet coffee. Black Mountain Perks is held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Historic Monte Vista Hotel which will take you back in time for a relaxing start to the day. Cost is $8.00. Social Mixer at Oskar Blues in Brevard

The Social Mixer on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 moves to Brevard in April. We'll meet up at Oskar Blues Brewery at 5:00 p.m. for a casual drop-in where you can socialize with other club members. Oskar Blues Brewery, 342 Mountain Industrial Drive, Brevard

Tour de Lake Lure New Member Drive

A special drive on April 16, 2023 just for new members and their guest to introduce the Region's popular Drive & Dine events. Tour de Lake Lure will start in Fletcher, North Carolina with a social and a short Mountain Driving Clinic. Participants will then depart on a guided drive led by experienced leaders who will safely navigate the tour on a scenic, "Porsche Roads" route.

These drives are all conducted at speed limits and are planned as tours for both the driver and passenger to enjoy. The drive concludes at the historic Lake Lure Inn & Spa with brunch on the Veranda where you'll meet, eat and socialize with other new members and leadership of the Appalachian Region of PCA.
