As usual, we have a lot going on in June.
This year’s Luft Wasser event had the good fortune of a beautiful sunny morning for a fun, safe event in Brevard. By the time the rain came, people were enjoying their lunch and company in one of the many wonderful Brevard restaurants. This was the first year that we used Luft Wasser as a fundraising event. The new Public Service committee identified The Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County as the beneficiary. We are happy to report that between registrations that resulted in a club donation, separate member donations and one local PCA member providing a matching donation, the 2022 Luft Wasser Porsche Celebration in Brevard raised $13,005 for The Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County.
Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered and donated. In five short years this event has gone from an initial idea to one drawing over 200 Porsches to our Region for this one-day celebration that is now a major fundraising event.
Next up is the Summer Picnic on Saturday, June 18 at Longmeadow Park in the Ramble in South Asheville. This is a chance to celebrate new members and introduce new and existing members to each other. The picnic is sold out at 125 participants. If your plans have changed, please contact Carole Carter using this link to let us know so we can admit someone from the wait list. Thank you.
The other big event in 2022 is Appalachian Adventure that returns again to Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Save the dates of September 8-11, 2022 to attend this fun, multi-activity get-away. Registration will open July 15, 2022.
See you at the Picnic!
