Welcome to 2022 with the Appalachian Region. It is a new year and a new Board for the Appalachian Region. As your President I wanted to thank you for your support and wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year.

The Appalachian Region has a terrific slate of new Board members and Chairs that will bring you fun, interesting and exciting programs and events in 2022 to deliver on our mission of "Having fun with Porsches!"

You can see the entire slate of Board Members and Chairs on the Appalachian Region Web Site Officers page. The new Chairs will be officially voted on by the Board and installed in their positions at the January Board meeting.

The January Board meeting will be on a special date and time this year: Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. in the Porsche Asheville Conference room. The January 13th Board meeting will be a handover of the Board from the 2021 Board to the 2022 Board. The 2022 Board will also present the 2022 Roadmap for the Appalachian Region.

Please plan on attending if you would like to understand the goals being set by the new Board for the Region in 2022 to be sure that members are "Having fun with Porsches!"

Upcoming Events in the Region

Appalachian Region events continue to be popular with fast sell-outs. Be sure to sign up the 15th of the month for events as the events open. See the web site calendar here for details on each of the above events, but here are some of the highlights for the month:

 

New Year Social and Sim Racing Experience: Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. The Appalachian Region will ring in the New Year with coffee and donuts at The Track at Asheville, 9 Reed Street, Biltmore Village (Asheville), NC. The Sim Racing Experience registration is closed but we may be able to offer some seats at the event – details.

Black Mountain Perks (Coffee Social): Wednesday, January 12, 2022, 9:00 a.m. at the Monte Vista Hotel in Black Mountain – details.

Board Meeting: Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. Porsche Asheville Conference Room

Breakfast Ramble: Saturday, January 15 at 9:00 a.m. Joey’s Pancake House, 4309 Socco Road, Maggie Valley. No registration necessary – details.

Social Mixer: Wednesday, January 19 at 5:00 p.m., Wedge Foundation in River Arts District of Asheville, 5 Foundry Street – details
