The 2021 annual Appalachian Region/Porsche Asheville Holiday Party welcomed 100 guests to the festively decorated Porsche showroom.
MANNA Foodbank personnel welcomed guests as they entered the showroom. Donations were collected to help make others’ holidays a little brighter.
The scrumptious buffet and beverage selection was supplemented by roving waiters with tenderloin skewers, hot tomato soup with grilled cheese and white chocolate mousse for a sweet. Banter echoed around the showroom as guests excitedly greeted each other in their holiday best.
The program consisted of Appalachian Region President Don Therien sharing the highlights of the year while noting the Region’s long-term support of MANNA Foodbank. Luis Alvarado, of Porsche Asheville thanked everyone for their support of the dealership and introduced Matthew Garren, the new Porsche Asheville Service Director and his team. We were all glad to hear about this new staffing in the service department.
Chad Conaty of MANNA shared the mission of MANNA with a thank you to Appalachian Region and Flow Automotive (Porsche Asheville) for their generous donations that will provide for over 22,888 meals for families throughout Western North Carolina. The Region and Porsche Asheville donated over $5,700 at the event, our highest contributing Public Service event of the year. Coupled with the other Appalachian Region donations for the year the Region has given over $10,000 to Western North Carolina public service organization.
In addition to the financial contribution, Appalachian Region volunteers, led by David Butler meet once a month at MANNA Foodbank to help sort and pack food boxes. Club members have given over 284 hours of service in 2021.
Thank you to everyone who have helped make lives better in Western North Carolina.
The evening ended with a Porsche Asheville raffle awarding key chains, coffee mugs, hats and the grand prize Porsche canvas print. Thank you to David Smith, the GM of Porsche (Flow Automotive) Asheville, Luis Alvarado and Lou Ann Pacula of Flow Automotive for the raffle and the entire night’s splendor of food, decorations and festivities.
