Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving with Family and friends. Christmas is right around the corner and our APR / Porsche Asheville Holiday Party is Tuesday, December 14!
We have had a great response to Flow Automotive / Porsche Asheville's invitation to the December 14th Gathering at Porsche Asheville on the 14th.
I had requested in my last message for all to respond to Flow Automotive by December 1st. Although we had a great response of 112 members by that date, we have had an additional 10 members ask to attend since December 2nd, several of which emailed Flow today. Additionally, Flow will have 25 attending, so it should be quite a Party! Flow has graciously included these late responders, however the caterer's require a week's notice and at this point, if you have not registered, please plan to make this event next year. To the 122 registered members I look forward to seeing you next week!
Our next Region Event will be on January 8th at the Track at Asheville. We will celebrate the New Year with a morning Social and Sim Race Event. The Sim Racing slots are sold out, but you are still welcome to join us for coffee and donuts provided by the Region and an opportunity to observe the racers and catch up with your PCA friends for the start of the new year. Details here: Sim Race & Social.
The recent Election of Officers were announced at the Annual Meeting on Saturday: Beginning January 1st, 2022 through December 31st, 2023 the APR Officers will be...
President - Jim Moore; View President - John Goetzman; Treasurer - Jim Symington; Secretary - Dave White
I will remain on the Board as Past President. Former Past President, Peter Graham; former Treasurer Matt Pohsweg and former Secretary, Don Grainger will retire from the Board on December 31st. I would like to thank Peter, Matt and Don for their many years of service to the Appalachian Region. We would not be where we are today without their diligent efforts.
Please continue to monitor the APR Website at aprpca.org for early 2022 planned activities.
It has been my pleasure to serve as the Region President for the last two years. Our new President, Jim Moore, and the new Board members, will continue to make the Appalachian Region a great place to share our Porsche passion with old and new like-minded friends.
Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year to you and yours!
My best,
