I hope you are enjoying the gorgeous early Fall weather that we are experiencing. Luft Wasser Saturday was a super example with early fog clearing to reveal a beautiful day.

Thanks to Jim Moore, his troop of Volunteers and the City of Brevard for staging another great Event! September's Appalachian Adventure weekend was also blessed with incredibly great weather. Thanks again to Bill Price and his group of hard working volunteers for making 2021 AA a great event! The weather also looks good for this Wednesday's Elk Viewing SUV Drive to Chataloochee Valley. If you've registered, we look forward to seeing you there.

There is still time to register for the Breakfast Ramble in Hot Springs on October 16th. We'll return to an APR favorite, the Smokey Mountain Diner. This month's Social Mixer will happen on October 20th at Pisgah Brewing in Black Mountain. Please check aprpca.org for details on both.

Unfortunately, the Asheville VA Car Show was again cancelled this year due to COVID concerns. In its place we are adding a last Drive & Dine to the 2021 calendar. This will be a Mystery Tour starting in Hot Springs on November 5th. Start early behind Smokey Mountain Diner and bring your sense of adventure! Registration will open on October 15th at noon on the aprpca.org website.

November's APP Cafe (cars & coffee) on November 20th will include a Toy Drive to help less affluent local children experience a Merry Christmas this year. PCA members are requested to bring a toy(s) valued between $20-$100. Cash and check donations will also be accepted by Eblen Charities who will be present at this event. Eblen operates a "store" every Christmas where qualified parents are invited to select a gift for each of their children. If you would like to bring toys, you may want to shop ahead as popular toys are expected to be scarce this year.

Thank you all for your part in making our Region a success. I look forward to seeing you at an APR Event soon!

Don Therien, APR President
