Only days until Appalachian Adventure in Blowing Rock! This sold out 4-day event promises to be the premier social weekend of the year for the Appalachian Region. The weather looks great for a welcome change to cooler temps.
Luft Wasser on October 2nd is also right around the corner. This year's event was limited to 150 cars and sold out in 31 hours! If you're not already on the wait list, you will not be able to join the Tour Drives and Main Street Brevard Porsche display, but you can still enjoy the Porsches by parking elsewhere in Brevard and walking through the Main Street car show with PCA members from around the Southeast and beyond.
Our Monthly Brewery Social will take place on Wednesday the 15th at Eluvian Brewing in Weaverville. No registration required, just show up at 5 pm and look for the white APR name tags. Details available here: 9/15 Brewery Social
The September APP Cafe (Porsches & Coffee) will be held at the Asheville Outlet Mall on Saturday the 18th. Coffee, donuts and (Ferry Porsche) Birthday Cake will be served! Arrive at 8:15 am and look for the Porsches in the rear parking lot. Get your Porsche out for an early start on the weekend. Sept 19th is Drive Your Porsche Day, a celebration of Ferry Porsche's Birthday.

Announcing the November Appalachian Region Board Member Election for the 2022-2023 Term
The current two-year Appalachian Region Officers' terms will expire on December 31, 2021. I have decided not to run for a second term as President and will assume the Board Member position of Past President in January. Our Treasurer, Matt Pohsweg, and Secretary, Don Grainger, have also announced their desire to step down from their current Board positions. The Appalachian Region Election Nominating Committee, composed of Charlie Hickey & Dave White and headed by Past President Peter Graham, has announced the following slate of Candidates for the two year term beginning January 1, 2022:
President - Jim Moore; Vice President - John Goetzman; Treasurer - Jim Symington; Secretary - Dave White
Additional Nominations - (APR Bylaws - Article VIIIB): Any 10 (ten) Active Members of the Club may nominate in writing an active member of the Club for office with the written approval of that member. Such nomination must be submitted to the Nominating Committee by October 15th, as posted on the Club’s website. Nominations made in this manner shall be included on the ballot.
