Two groups participated; both met at the Blue Ridged Parkway Visitors Center and toured the Parkway to the Craggy Gardens Picnic Area.
After lunch they drove back down the parkway to the Southern Highland Craft Guild and Folks Art Center. However, on the way to the picnic one of the groups stopped at the Craggy Gardens trailhead for a hike to the Craggy Gardens Pinnacle led by Appalachian Region member David Angelus, who is also a National Park Service volunteer. Tuesday car and bicycle traffic was light, and we enjoyed perfect weather.
