July was a busy month for our Region. A sold out Dine & Drive to the Peach Farm on the 1st, Fourth of July celebrations with family and friends, the Breakfast Ramble to Pig & Grits and a very well attended Tech Session at Wheel and Paintless Dent Repair in Arden provided something for everyone.
In August APR again offers a variety of options for our Members. First up is the sold out Drive, Hike and Picnic to Craggy Gardens on the 10th. Next is the long awaited APR 5th Anniversary Party, which will take place at the Country Club of Asheville on the 12th. Just over 100 APR Members and invited guests will celebrate the one year delayed celebration of our Region's Charter in 2015.
A Brewery Social Mixer will happen at the Burning Blush Brewery in Mills River on August 18th. Check it out on our website for more details, no reservation required. There is another sold out Breakfast Ramble coming up at the Dixie Diner. These usually fill up pretty fast, so be sure to register early next time if you missed it.
There are still a few days to register for Appalachian Adventure, our 4 day weekend in Blowing Rock, NC. The host facility, Meadowbrook Inn is out of rooms, but there are a few hotels within walking distance with rooms available. See our website for more details.
On August 15th at Noon registration for the 3rd Annual Luft Wasser Porsches in Brevard will open. We are restricted to 150 Porsches showing in Downtown Brevard this year, so be sure to sign up on our website as early as possible on the 15th. Here a description of this year's Event:
Luft Wasser is Back!
The Appalachian Region of the Porsche Club of America (PCA) is happy to announce that the Luft Wasser Porsche Celebration in Brevard is back for 2021. The Luft Wasser Porsche Celebration will occur on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
The celebration includes mountain-driving tours with a Brevard Main Street takeover where over 150 Porsches will be on display. Luft Wasser participants will display their Porsche on Main Street while viewing other Porsches, socializing and enjoying downtown Brevard's shopping and dining
Registration for Luft Wasser opens at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 15 on the Appalachian Region web site Luft Wasser web page.
Participants can sign up for one of six driving tours or find your-own-way to Brevard. Whether you drive with a tour or find your-own-way everyone meets on the Main Street of Brevard where your car will be staged for the show. There is no judging of cars or entry fee for this event. We just want you to enjoy your Porsche and other PCA members in this beautiful mountain town.
