Thanks to all who attended the Roan Mountain & Abingdon, VA Event this week.
The weather was a bit iffy, but the camaraderie, scenic tour, lunch and optional dinner in Abingdon were great! Lots of activity coming in the next few months:
The next event is a return to our Social Mixer at The Highland Brewery on June 16th. No registration needed. Just arrive at 5pm and look for the white APR Name Badges. Details can be found here.
Signups for the June 26th New Member Picnic are going fast with 136 registered and only 14 seats remaining. Get one of the last seats by registering here before June 15th.
The big news this month is that registration for the August 12th - 5-Year (plus 1) Anniversary Party will open at noon on June 15th. This celebration was postponed from March 2020 and will be the APR social event of 2021. The ticket price has been reduced by a $25 per participant subsidy provided by the Appalachian Region. Registration will also open June 15th for the July 1st Dine & Drive "Sweet Roads to Sweet Peaches". The scenic tour will lead to a Chesnee, SC Peach Farm for a purchased or picnic lunch at the Farm. Details and Registration can be found here.
We are bringing back another favorite event next month which had taken a back seat to COVID concerns, the Breakfast Ramble. Enjoy a breakfast with your Porsche friends on July 17th at Pigs & Grits in Burnsville, NC. June 15th Registration and Details can be found soon at this location.
Well, we said that 2021 would be a fast paced year for APR Events and we still have two additional major events to go; Appalachian Adventure in September and Luft Wasser in October! Thanks to our great volunteers who support these events by giving their time and expertise and to those who attend to make it all worthwhile. See you soon at an upcoming APR Event!
