The first Appalachian Region App Cafe - Porsches & Coffee had a 37 car turnout on a 37 degree day, but no seemed to mind the cold. It was finally just a time to get together with friends and Porsches.
The location of the Panera Bread parking lot in Asheville provided the perfect venue to jump inside for a warm cup of coffee or tea when the fingers and toes became too cold.
Dave White, our new App Cafe Director pulled together a great first event so we could meet safely outdoors while socializing with old and new friends. We had everything from 356’s to early 911’s, 912’s, Turbos, 928’s, 944’s, Caymans, Boxsters and many generations of 911’s.
It was a big turnout of new members too, as we saw 11 new members out of the 49 members in attendance.
It looks like App Cafe - Porsches & Coffee will be a regular fixture on the Appalachian Region calendar. Starting April 17, App Cafe - Porsches & Coffee will occur the third Saturday of each month. The location may shift so watch the Appalachian Region web site for the exact location.
