Breakfast Rambles finally returned to the Appalachian Region calendar as an event that could be held, and comply with the Covid gathering guidelines.
Joe Watson, as the Appalachian Region Breakfast Ramble leader, picked a region favorite location as evidenced by 29 Appalachian Region members making the drive to The Randevu in Cashiers.
Saturday, September 19 was Ferry Porsche’s Birthday. It is tradition to recognize Ferry’s birthday by making it a “Drive Your Porsche” day so it was appropriate to celebrate with a meal and a drive.
After breakfast, socializing and celebrating Ferry’s birthday, Tour Leader, John Goetzman had scheduled a Birthday Drive home. Seventeen cars made the 90-minute drive along the twists and turns of Charley’s Creek Road. The route used for the drive is one of VP Jim Moore’s favorites, and it didn’t disappoint with some fun, safe driving within the PCA guidelines.
