Our long-time Charity Partner, MANNA FoodBank and the people of WNC need our help.

For the last several years, on the first Tuesday of every month, a group of APR members have worked a 2-hour afternoon shift repackaging donated food at MANNA in Asheville. After a 3 month moratorium due to COVID, the group returned in June. Because many of our regulars have personal concerns that leave them more vulnerable to COVID, our usual 10 person workgroups have been reduced to 5 for both July and August..

If you would be able to volunteer 2 hours a month to a very worthy cause, we would love to have you join in with your fellow APR members from 1 to 3 PM on Tuesday, September 1st. MANNA is very concerned with our safety while volunteering. Masks are worn by all and social distancing is easy to maintain while working. It's more fun than work; catching up with old and new friends from PCA. If you are able to help, please contact David Butler. I hope to see some of you there in September.

MANNA's need for volunteers is very critical these days. If you are so inclined, there is work to be done most every day. Below is an invitation from MANNA to help their cause. There is an urgent need to help those experiencing food insecurity at this time. Whatever time you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for considering helping out at MANNA.
