We hope that everyone is well and beginning to emerge from COVID hibernation! Here in NC we are feeling increasingly better as we slowly return to our normal lives - haircuts, restaurants and driving!

Our June Board meeting was held last Thursday. Although restrictions on social events are loosening a bit, we did make the difficult decision to cancel this year's Appalachian Adventure scheduled for September 10-14th in Blowing Rock. The inability to plan meals and events under social distancing rules made it impossible for us to commit to the event. Our hosting venue, the Meadowbrook Inn has agreed to hold our deposit and to reschedule anytime in 2021.

We are still hopeful that we will be able to have our 5-year Anniversary Party at the Country Club of Asheville on November 4th.

We're anxious to get out again as a club. The June 6th Dine and Drive has been rescheduled. Here are the two Driving Events we have planned for the June and July:

Saturday, June 27, 2020: "On the Road Again…" A Drive and Dine from Flat Rock to Fairview via the twists and turns of the Green River Watershed. Lunch is planned at Troyer's Country Amish Deli in Fairview.

Wednesday, July 22, 2020: "Whip & Sip" A Drive and Dine along the Blue Ridge Parkway to The Devil’s Whip with an end tour at the Blue Ridge Distillery in Bostic, NC.

We will notify you soon on sign-up dates for the above events. I hope that you are able to make one or both of them. In the meantime, stay safe, healthy and positive!

My best,
