MANNA FoodBank is a private, not-for-profit service organization that links the food industry with over 220 partner agencies in 16 counties of WNC, the same foot print as the Appalachian Region.
MANNA could not exist without volunteers and donors. In fiscal year 2017/18, 7,012 volunteers donated 73,729 hours, the equivalent of 37 full-time staff members, and distributed 18.2 million pounds of food. www.mannnafoodbank.org.
The region identified MANNA as one of our charity partners soon after being chartered. In November 2017 the region committed to providing eight volunteers to work a two hour shift monthly. We provided 216 volunteer hours in our first year of that commitment. Please notify David Butler at email@example.com if you are interested in participating or if you have questions. This is a great way for Appalachian Region to collectively contribute to our community. It’s also a great way to meet fellow members.
