It was great to see so many of you at the Annual Picnic/New Member Social!! We had 33 new members attend amongst a group of 80+ attendees!

The Porsche brand has long been associated with racing: to that end, our Porsches are high performance cars. But do we really know the capabilities of our cars and indeed our own driving skills and limits? We have a fledging HPDE group and would like to build on this program. To familiarize us with high performance driving, Jack Chandler, Chief Driving Instructor, and our other instructors will be presenting ‘Intro to Track Days’ on Saturday, July 21st, starting at 9:30 in the conference room at Porsche Asheville. This presentation is intended to inform and to allay any intimidation associated with track events. Tracking your Porsche is one of the most exciting driving events you can attend!

And speaking of exciting driving events, ‘Flying High Show and Drive’ is back again this year at Mountain Air in Burnsville! Hosted by Porsche Asheville, blast down the 4400 runway in your Porsche and enjoy comradery with Porsche Asheville personnel and other AR members! The event will be held on June 16th from 9:30am until noon. For more information, click Flying High Show and Drive.

Other events this month include:

  • We will return to Oskar Blues for our June Monthly Social on will be held on Wednesday, June 16th from 5 to 7pm. As usual, just look for the white badges and familiar faces!
