The first (that I know of) smart driving Porsche was recently tested at a stadium in Barcelona, Spain. The Panamera was being guided by a Huawei Mate 10 flagship smartphone.  The self-driving Porsche was using the same smartphone camera, powered by the same artificial intelligence, to scan the Camp Nou parking lot for objects and react accordingly by either steering around them or braking.  It’s probably just me, but that doesn’t sound like a lot of fun.

Was the 2018 running of the twelve hours of Sebring a turning point for the Porsche #911 and the #912 factory sponsored RSR’s?  The cars finished first and third respectively in the GTLM class. Over in GTD, the GT3R’s finished sixth and ninth.
