Looking a little more into the Future:
The Appalachian Region will be hosting 'Luft, Wasser and Brevard' around the concept of Porsches to Oxford, generally described as a 'casual Porsche party' on Saturday, May 5th with Brevard closing Main Street for Porsche display.  The day will begin with planned drives to Brevard with starting points in Asheville, Hendersonville and Waynesville.  More information is available on our events calendar.

For those interested in Track/DE:  Costal Empire will be hosting a two-day Driver's Education event at Roebling Road on June 2 & 3.  The word is it will sell out fast.  Registration is open on Club Registration; once logged into Cub Registration, search for 'Driver's Ed' event sponsored by 'Costal Empire'.

If you haven't already, please reserve your room at the Ridges Resort at Lake Chatuge for the 2018 Appalachian Adventure, August 17-19. Mention the Appalachian Adventure/Porsche group when making reservations to get the discount room rate (two-night stay required). Call (706) 896-2262 to make reservations.  Registration for the Adventure will open on Club Registration April 14th.  I announced this at the Zone 3 Presidents meeting and it seemed to generate a lot of interest: our room block is fairly small so reserve your room today!

As always, you can find more information about your Region and its events on our website and Facebook page.  If you are not a member of Facebook, make it a point to join and then request joining the Appalachian Region group (closed).

I just returned from the Zone 3 Presidents meeting held in Florence, Alabama; the meeting was held at Trissl Sports Cars, classic Porsche specialists, among a most impressive collection of Porsches including a Carrera GT and a 918 Spyder.  Trissl holds an annual event 'Uber Region Fest' with a live band, food, concours and autocross that attracts Porsche owners from all over.  Because of construction activities, Uber Region Fest will not be held this year, but look for it next year in the spring!
