The Appalachian Region has two chairs that have requested formation of committees to oversee activities:

Events
Jim Moore, Events Chair, would like to form an Events committee to oversee the monthly region events that usually occur on the first Saturday of each month (excluding months of annual activities - June: New Member Social/Picnic, August: Appalachian Adventure, November: Veterans Car Show, December: Christmas/Holiday Gathering). Generally speaking, committee members responsibility would include seeking member activity input and then planning, scheduling and organizing the monthly region event to include aiding Region members who want to conduct events. If you are interested in volunteering for the Events committee, please email interest to Jim at events@aprpca.org.

Track
David Wells, Track Chair, is seeking volunteers interested in helping our fledgling Track/High Performance Drivers Education program: "the mission of the Track Committee is to identify, promote and coordinate driver education (DE) and other motorsport opportunities for our region and to increase participation in these events so that our members may fully enjoy the Porsche driving experience and camaraderie that comes with PCA membership." If you are interested in volunteering for the Events committee, please email interest to David at track@aprpca.org.

I encourage all members of the Appalachian Region to consider volunteering in some capacity: it is an excellent way to meet and make new friends in our Region, to feel 'included' and to help spread the work load of Region operations. We have a dedicated corps of officers and chairs that need a small amount of your time. 'Many hands make light work.' - John Heywood
