In accordance with the bylaws of the Appalachian Region, an officer nomination committee has been formed for the purpose of putting forth a slate of AR members in good standing to elect a new Board of Directors (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer) to serve a two-year term starting 1 January 2020.

President and Vice President may not serve more than two consecutive two-year terms so both positions are open: I will continue to serve on the Board as Past President.  The positions of Secretary and Treasure are not limited.

Our nominating committee is composed by the following AR members: Jim Peterson (Board member - Past President), Charlie Hickey and Bob Herrmann.  Nominations for officer positions are currently being taken: please contact Jim via email if you would like to make a nomination or be considered for office: past.president@aprpca.org.

The Nominating committee's report will posted to our website no later than 14 days prior to, and will be presented at, the November Board of Directors scheduled for 7 November.  Additional nominations may be made at the November Board meeting. Voting will follow thereafter via our website with voting results reported at the Annual Membership meeting, scheduled for 7 December at the Country Club of Asheville.

To date, Don Grainger and Matt Pohsweg have agreed to continue as Secretary and Treasurer, respectively, if re-elected. Don Therien (current Vice President) is running for President and Jim Moore (Events chair) for Vice President. Jim Moore has already created an Events committee (so no worries about our stellar events continuing if Jim is elected as VP).

Please consider serving our Region and, if nothing else, voting for your selection of candidates.

It has been my distinct please to serve our Region as President for the past 3½  years and I am confident in leadership of our Region moving forward into 2020.  Thank you for your continued support of your PCA Region!
