Our October meeting was drine & (picnic) drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway and then south to Ceasar Head State Park.
Our annual Leaf Tour took place on October 4th on a beautiful Fall day in the mountains of WNC. Clear skies and distant views were the theme of the day. Twelve cars and 16 AR members drove from Porsche Asheville to the Blue Ridge Parkway via NC151 in Candler. It was a leisurely drive on the BRP with very little traffic. We made a few stops to enjoy the scenery while heading south to NC215, which brought us to South Carolina and Caesar's Head State Park.
Everyone enjoyed the views from the Overlook at Caesar's Head and enjoyed an outdoor picnic lunch on the tables in the Park. After further discussion of views, Porsches and weather, we all found our favorite route back home. We hope to see more Appalachian Region Members next October when we do it again!
Thanks to Jim Moore for taking the pictures and Don Therien for the write-up.
