Wow! Almost a month has passed since my last communication! Our next event is a Tire Tech session at Jan Davis Tire Store in downtown Asheville at 209 Patton Avenue, 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, February 6th, with coffee, donuts and possibly ‘giveaways’ provided courtesy of Jan Davis.

Topics will include what’s new in tire performance and updates on standard practices/tire-related issues as well as time for Q&A.

Pete Martin/Stuttgart Motorwerks is still on tap for a tech session in March and Drive & Dines are in the planning stages for April and May (BBQ in Shelby). Our Events crew is also working on potential events to include an overnight to Blowing Rock as well as Porsche-hosted event at Bristol Motor Speedway. Stay tuned.

You are also invited to attend the next Board meeting to be held in the Porsche Asheville/Harmony Motors conference room at 4 p.m. on February 4th. We still have openings for committee chairs if you’re interested in getting in ‘just a little deeper’. We already have great folks committed to the operation of the Appalachian Region… and we need a few more: visit our website to see if your talent matches our need, then just show up!

I welcome all comments, questions, suggestions and/or complaints that will improve our club; feel free to contact me at president@aprpca.org or call me at 828-669-7730 during normal work/evening hours.

Thank you for supporting of our club with your membership and keep the shiny side up! (The 912 is resting comfortably until a good rain can clear the NCDOT salt … with a planned assault on Kerrville,TX and the Hill Country Rallye at the end of March.)
