Summer and fall will be busy in the Appalachian Region. Peter highlights the events.

There are several events coming up, but one in particular that needs to be emphasized: Willkommen, a new program by which PCA members can tour the new PCNA OPD (One Porsche Drive) facility in Atlanta. You should have recently received an email introducing this program. There are several members of the Appalachian Region that have expressed interest in the inaugural September 21st Willkommen: registration opens at 8am tomorrow morning at https://clubregistration.net/events/signUp.cfm/event/7756 . Space is very limited. The cost is $50 to include lunch at Restaurant 356. Having toured the facility, it is nothing less that awesome! (What would you expect from a premier Porsche facility? When I was there OPD had a 917 on display, no ropes/no barriers.)

The second event is our Annual Picnic at the Ramble on September 3rd: if you have signed up, great! If you have not signed up and would like to attend, please sign up soon. (We have enough potato salad, thanks!) More information is available here.

The next event is the annual Open Car and Bike Show at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville on November 5: it will be our Appalachian Region November event. An application is avialable here on our Website. The cost is $10 and is limited to 250 participants. Please support our veterans and register soon. It would be great for our Region well represented. More information may be found at https://www.facebook.com/salutingourvetscarshow/

The next event worth mentioning is the PCA Treffen; our Region will be hosting this event in Fall 2017 and we need your help: if you would like to recommend a destination that showcases western North Carolina for a Treffen tour, please send the information to me at president@aprpca.org. I would also like to hear from you if you plan on attending either the Lake Tahoe or Hill Country Treffen. More information may be found on the PCA website at https://www.pca.org/news/2015-10-13/pca-treffen-north-america-begins-2016-wvideo/.

And finally if you would like to recommend a destination for a Region Dine and Drive or an event location, please send the information to me at president@aprpca.org, including contact info if known. This is your Club and your input and participation is important!

Thanks! I hope to see and visit with many of you at the Appalachian Adventure next week!
