On September 23, the British Car Club of Western North Carolina held their annual Autumn in the Mountains Car Show, and as usual APR members showed their cars there.
The day dawned bright and sunny, despite a storm running up the coast to the east. In past years the German car section has been populated almost entirely by Porsches, but this time we also saw Mercedes, BMW, and a few Volkswagens, and of course some APR members were showing their British cars.
For the third time, the event was held on the property of Mills River Brewing, who had food and drink available both on the show field and in the adjacient brewery. This was a wonderful, relaxed affair with kids, dogs, and lawnchairs everywhere. If you missed it this year, don't make the same mistake next. It takes no planning; you can register to show your car on the day of the event, or just park at the brewery, walk next door, and enjoy the cars.
