Old Friends and New Friends Drive & Dine

Thanks to Jean and Robert Larsen for planning this drive that will take us to some new roads near Brevard and Waynesville, and cover some of our old favorites. The drive will start at Cathey's Creek Baptist Church in Brevard. From the Church we will travel a new route north on Silversteen Road and then onto Canada Road.  

We'll stop for a picnic lunch at Little Canada Park in Tuckasegee, North Carolina.  The park does have open indoor restroom facilities. As Appalachian Region has been doing during the pandemic, please bring your own picnic lunch and perhaps some camp chairs.

After lunch, we will continue on Canada Road where we will turn onto a couple of our old favorite roads.  Specifically we will be taking Charley's Creek Road to NC-215. The drive will end at Jukebox Junction on US-276 where you can enjoy a post-drive ice cream cone.  Jukebox Junction is located conveniently so that you can return home via the Blue Ridge Parkway, or take US-S-276 back to Brevard to the South, or Waynesville to the North, or follow NC-215 to Canton and pick up I-40.
