The Luft Wasser™ Porsche Celebration Returns to a Driving & Show Event

The Luft Wasser™ Porsche Celebration in Brevard returns in 2026 with driving tours from throughout Western North Carolina with a meet-up and take-over of downtown Brevard.  

The original format returns in 2026 with six driving tours throughout Western North Carolina, a parade into Brevard if you want to find your own way to Brevard and four hours of enjoying Porsches and the Brevard business district.

The Celebration is Saturday, April 25, 2026 with the Brevard Broad Street take-over occurring from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The guided driving tours will originate earlier in the morning to facilitate arrival in Brevard for the 10:00 a.m. show time.

1:1 Matching for Charity Partner Donations

Luft Wasser™ also returns to supporting its original charity partner; The Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County. Their mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. They serve school-aged youth, ages 5 to 18.  

This year all extra donations that you contribute will be matched 1:1 by a generous Appalachian Region family.  During registration you will have the opportunity to make extra donations for matching.

Through our partner, Hagerty Insurance, we involve the kids in a junior judging program to recognize the Porsche that most excites them.

Registration

The registration fee remains unchanged for 2026 at $40 per car.  Net proceeds will go to The Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County.  There will also be an opportunity during registration to donate additional money if you choose.

Registration will open at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Sunday, March 15, 2026.  Last year’s event sold out with 231 cars within four hours.  We expect a similar response for 2026. 

This year we will also be offering a Luft Wasser™ baseball hat and a Luft Wasser™ poster for purchase.  You will pay and reserve either item during registration and pick the item(s) up at the hospitality tent on the day of the event.

Registration will occur by clicking the Register button that will appear below at registration opening. We ask for your contact information, the Porsche Color name if you know it, an extra donation if you choose and indication if your car qualifies for the special displays planned this year:  924 50^thAnniversary (including all transaxle models in the display and a Rennbow Color display of four- and five-paint can cars.

The Luft Wasser™ Day of Porsche Celebration

You will have a choice of one of five guided tours that will start from Asheville, Waynesville, Hendersonville, and Landrum, SC.  Or, you can arrive on your own in Brevard and meet at the High School to drive in a 60-Porsche parade into the Broad Street display area.

When:       Saturday, April 25, 2026

Where:      Broad Street, Brevard, NC between Main Street and Oakdale Street.

Over 200 Porsches will be on display from 10:00 am. - 2:00 pm. We request that you leave your car on the street until at least 12:30 p.m.

Transaxle Car Display

2026 Is the 50^th anniversary of the Porsche 924 which was the first transaxle Porsche.  To celebrate this anniversary, 924 Expert, Bill Klein, will be curating a special display of all transaxle models. These models will include 924's, 944's, 928's and 968's.  If you would like to show your transaxle Porsche in this special display area, please check the box during registration.

Rennbow Rare Paint Display

Rennbow.org is a PCA Porsche web site displaying the colors of Porsche.  Each color has a paint can rating from and one paint can be the more popular colors up to five paint cans for the rarest colors.  A special display area will be set aside for four- and five-paint can-rated Porsches.  Refer to your color in Rennbow.org to identify what your Porsche color paint can rating is.  If your car is a four- or five-paint can Porsche we would like to have it shown in a special display.  Note that it qualifies during registration.

Air-Cooled Porsche Display

Air-Cooled Porsches will continue to be featured in the first block of South Broad Street, just off Main Street.  Every year this brings over 35 air-cooled Porsches.  Michael Branning, the former President of the 356 Registry will also be curating a special 356 display in the First Citizens Bank parking lot.  When registering please note that you have an air-cooled Porsche and would like show your car in with all the other air-cooled Porsches.

Drive Details

Asheville NC-151 Devil's Climb "Driving" Tour:  A technical driving challenge of twists and turns before joining the Parkway and coming down US-276 into Brevard.  Two driving groups of 13 Porsches each.  This tour will maximize the performance of your Porsche.

• Meet-Up Location:  Back Parking Lot of Porsche Asheville, NC, 621 Brevard Road, Asheville
• Meet-Up Time:  TBD a.m. 

Asheville Blue Ridge Parkway Tour:  This is a scenic tour drive down the Parkway to enjoy the vistas and sweeping smooth turns of one of the nation's most popular National Parks.  Two driving groups of 13 Porsches.  

• Meet-Up Location:  Ingles Market, 863 Brevard Road, Asheville, NC
• Meet-Up Time:  TBD a.m.

Hendersonville Modern Porsche Tour:  This tour is for all Porsche models but will be predominantly the more modern Porsches that are 1999 or newer. Two driving groups of 13 Porsches.

• Meet-Up Location:  Fresh Market, 223 Greenville Hwy, Hendersonville
• Meet-Up Time:  TBD a.m.

Air-Cooled Porsches Only Tour:  This tour will run the same route as the Modern Porsche Tour, but will be limited to Air-Cooled Porsches (pre-1999 Porsches with air-cooled engines (excludes Transaxles cars (924, 928, 968 and 944) that will be specially displayed in the First Citizens Bank parking lot).

• Meet-Up Location:  Fresh Market, 223 Greenville Hwy, Hendersonville
• Meet-Up Time:  TBD a.m.

Waynesville Blue Ridge Dragon Tour:  The Waynesville start will drive a portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway down NC-215 into Brevard.  There will be two driving tours of 13 Porsches on each tour.

• Meet-Up Location:  Encouraging Word Baptist Church, 1408 Pigeon Road, Waynesville, NC
• Meet-Up Time:  TBD a.m.

Southern Tour (Landrum, SC):  This tour will originate in Landrum, South Carolina and climb north into the mountains and Brevard along some twisties and sweepers.  One driving group of 13.

• Meet-Up Location:  Ingles Market, 1851 Hwy 14E (intersection of I-26 and SC-14E, Landrum SC
• Meet-Up Time:  TBD a.m.

Find Your-Own-Way to Brevard Drivers with a Parade into Town

 If you prefer to find your-own-way to Brevard we will have you drive to Brevard High School to register and then be staged to parade into the display area.  This is your option if you don’t want to drive in one of the guided tours.

Timing:  Plan to arrive between 8:30 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. at Brevard High School, 609 N. Country Club Road, Brevard, North Carolina After registering at the School, the Find-Your-Own-Way Cars will join a police-escort to be led as a parade into downtown Brevard. 

Hat, Visor and Poster Sales during Registration

During registration you will have the chance to purchase a Luft Wasser™ Commemorative Hat or Visor.  The adjustable size hats are available in black or light grey while the adjustable visor is available in Navy Blue or Red.  

The Luft Wasser™ logo is featured without a date so you can wear the hat year after year as you attend the event.  Each hat or visor costs $25 each.  You order them during registration and pick them up at the Appalachian Region Hospitality Tent on show day.

     

The Luft Wasser™ Event will also be for sale suitable for framing.  The glossy heavy poster stock is sized 11" X 18".  The cost is $20 per poster.  You can order it during registration and pick it up at the Appalachian Region Hospitality Tent on show day.

Event Fee, Cancellation and Requirements to Participate

You must be a member of Porsche Club of America (PCA).  Members from all regions from across the country are welcome.  

To join the celebration in 2026 there will be a $40 fee with net proceeds donated to The Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County. 

Cancellation Policy:  No refunds of the Registration Fee will be provided after 12:00 a.m. on April 10, 2026. Luft Wasser is a rain or shine event.
