Luft Wasser™ (Air Water) Porsche Celebration in Brevard

Come and enjoy the Appalachian Region of the Porsche Club of America at the Seventh Annual Luft Wasser™ Porsche Celebration in Brevard, North Carolina on Saturday, April 27, 2024.  Over 200 Porsches will be arriving in downtown Brevard between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and will be on display on Broad Street until 2:00 p.m.

Charity Fundraiser for The Boys & Girls Club

Luft Wasser™ is a Charity fundraiser.  Appalachian Region is requesting a $40 donation with net proceeds being donated to The Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County.

The mission of The Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

 The Luft Wasser™ Day

You will have a choice of one of six guided tours that will start from Asheville, Waynesville, Hendersonville, and Landrum, SC.  Or, you can arrive on your own in Brevard and meet at the High School to drive in a 60-Porsche parade into the Broad Street display area.

When:       Saturday, April 27, 2024

Where:      Broad Street, Brevard, NC between Main Street and Oakdale Street.

Over 200 Porsches will be on display from 10:00 am. - 2:00 pm. We request that you leave your car on the street until 12:30 p.m.


Pre-1999 Porsche Display Area Available

This year's special display of Porsches will focus on Air-Cooled Porsches and Transaxle Porsches (928, 944, 968 and 924).  These are all Porsches prior to 1999.   These Porsches will be parked in a special display area on Broad Street between Jordan Street and Main Street.

The special display will be limited to 28 air-cooled and transaxle Porsches.  We will need you to arrive at the display area between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.  This special display will be limited to 28 Porsches; the first 28 to register will be displayed.

If you choose to display your Porsche in this area you will not be able to drive in any of the tours as we need you at the display area early to place your car.

When registering for Luft Wasser you will see an opportunity to register your car for the display if spaces are still available.

Transaxle Car Display

Over a dozen Transaxle cars will be on display on the south end of the show.  Models will include 928's, 944's, 924's and 968's

Track Car Display

A half a dozen special track cars will be on display in the First Citizen's Bank parking lot.  The cars will include GT3 RS's, GT4 RS's, Caymans and more.

Drive Details for Participants

Asheville NC-151 Devil's Climb "Driving" Tour:  A technical driving challenge of twists and turns before joining the Parkway and coming down US-276 into Brevard.  Two driving groups of 13 Porsches each.  This tour will maximize the performance of your Porsche.

  • Meet-Up Location:  Back Parking Lot of Porsche Asheville, NC, 621 Brevard Road, Asheville
  • Meet-Up Time:  7:30 a.m. 

Asheville Blue Ridge Parkway Tour:  This is a scenic tour drive down the Parkway to enjoy the vistas and sweeping smooth turns of one of the nation's most popular National Parks.  Two driving groups of 13 Porsches.  

  • Meet-Up Location:  Ingles Market, 863 Brevard Road, Asheville, NC
  • Meet-Up Time:  7:45 a.m.

Hendersonville Tour:  This tour is for all Porsche models but will be predominatly the more modern Porsches that are 1999 or newer. Two driving groups of 13 Porsches.

  • Meet-Up Location:  Fresh Market, 223 Greenville Hwy, Hendersonville
  • Meet-Up Time:  7:45 a.m.

Waynesville Blue Ridge Dragon Tour:  The Waynesville start will drive a portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway down NC-215 into Brevard.  There will be two driving tours of 13 Porsches on each tour.

  • Meet-Up Location:  Encouraging Word Baptist Church, 1408 Pigeon Road, Waynesville, NC
  • Meet-Up Time:  7:45 a.m.

Southern Tour (Landrum, SC):  This tour will originate in Landrum, South Carolina and climb north into the mountains and Brevard along some twisties and sweepers.  One driving group of 13.

  • Meet-Up Location:  Ingles Market, 1851 Hwy 14E (intersection of I-26 and SC-14E, Landrum SC
  • Meet-Up Time:  7:30 a.m.


Find Your-Own-Way to Brevard Drivers with a Parade into Town

Timing:  Plan to arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. at the Brevard High School, 609 N. Country Club Road, Brevard, North Carolina. Safety Meeting at 9:30 a.m.  After registering at the School, the Find-Your-Own-Way Cars will join a police-escort to led as a parade into downtown Brevard. Parade departs at 9:45 a.m.

You must be a member of Porsche Club of America (PCA).  Members from all regions from across the country are welcome.  

To join the celebration in 2024 there will be a $40 fee with net proceeds donated to The Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County. Whether or not you participate in Luft Wasser, you can make an additional donation if you wish at

Note:  this donation does not register you for the event. To register you must select the blue Register (Individual) button below.

Cancellation Policy:  No refunds of the Registration Fee will be provided after 12:00 a.m. on April 13, 2024. Luft Wasser is a rain or shine event.





NOTE:  Tours and Special Displays are full so open registrations are only available for "Find Your Own Way" with display in the Main display area of Broad Street.
