Deja vu – the Appalachian Region was chartered in 2015, and to commorate our short history we rerun old stories in this space. On March 7, 2015, we held our first meeting as the Appalachian Region with a fine presentation by Wayne Bush, the “map guy,” on scenic drives in our area. Wayne publishes touring maps of local roads in Western North Carolina and adjacent portion of Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia. Each road is rated on the basis of scenery, driving fun, and traffic.
