July 6th already...  Here's to hoping everyone had a safe and joyous July 4th celebration!

July is Porsche Parade month: for those attending, have a great time (and please post photos to our Facebook page so us 'non-attendees' can enjoy as well).  We have several events planned for July:

  • Wednesday, July 10th, 9:30 am: Drive and Dine through the Nantahala Gorge; unfortunately, this event is already full but there is a waiting list for those interested.
  • Wednesday,July 17th, 5:00-7:00 pm: our July Social is being held at Oskar Blues in Brevard. As usual, look for your AR friends wearing the white name badges.  Note: this event was moved to the third Wednesday to deconflict the Drive and Dine.
  • Saturday, July 20th, 8:00 am:  'Off-the-beaten Path II'.  Join us for another excursion onto National Forest roads.  For individuals who do not join the drive, meet up for breakfast (restaurant TBD: please check our website for updates).  The event requires registration (click the link above)
  • July 21st - 28th: Parade in Boca Raton.

Please note there will not be an Appalachian Region Board of Directors meeting this month.

Next month's events include our own Appalachian Adventure in as well as other events, check our website for details. Also remember it is not too late to take advantage of the 10% discount at the Goodie Store.

There has been a shake-up in the management at Porsche Asheville: Luis Alvarado is the new Porsche Certified/Audi Sales Manager, replacing  our good friend Charlie Schieren, and Terry Smith is the new General Sales Manager.  If you happen to be at Porsche Asheville, please seek out and thank Luis and Terry for the dealership's continuing support of the Appalachian Region.  If you are aware of any job opportunities that might fit Charlie, please email information to me at president@aprpca.org and I will pass the information along.

I look forward to seeing you at an AR event soon,

Peter GrahamPeter
