Upcoming Events

This evening We'll meet at Thirsty Monk South, 2 Town Square Blvd #170, Asheville, NC 28803 (map link) from 5:00pm until 7:00pm for our May social. As usual, just look for the white AR badges.

With the success of our last 'Breakfast Ramble', we are going to do it again this month with the Breakfast in "The Heart of the Blue Ridge" breakfast ramble. The chosen destination is the Randevu, 18 Chestnut Square Hwy 64 in Cashiers on May 26th. Plan to arrive by 9:15am. Registration is required to reserve enough room for our group: please click this link 'Breakfast in the Heart of the Blue Ridge’ to register. The event is no charge/buy your own breakfast.

Cars, Coffee and Tacos has been rescheduled from Saturday, May 19th to Saturday, May 26th (now conflicts with ‘Breakfast in the Blue Ridge’).

Registration for the High-Performance Driver Education (HPDE) is open for the event at Roebling Road be held on June 2nd and 3rd and is sponsored by Coastal Empire PCA. Registration closes 5/31. To register, go to ClubRegistration.net. If have not already, you will need to create a profile on to access/register for an event. You can then use the "Search for Events" tab to find this event by "type" (DE) or "host" (Coastal Empire). All information about the event and Roebling Road Raceway is posted on the website including schedules, costs, discounted hotel rooms, meals, etc. We have several members signed up already.

‘Flying High’ is back on the calendar this year: it is a ‘Cars & Coffee’-type event to be held at Mountain Air in Burnsville on Saturday, June 16th. More information is available at 'Flying High'.

New Member Social/Annual Picnic is coming up on Saturday, June 9th, starting 5:00pm at The Ramble in Asheville. Registration is required: click Picnic/Registration for more information and to register; registration closes on June 3rd. This year’s event is ‘no charge’ but you are requested to bring a pot-luck item to share As in past years, we will have an informal car show, parking on the lawn. Please plan to join us: register today!!

Appalachian Adventure registration is open on ClubRegistration.net; registration will remain open until July 14th. However, it is important to reserve a room now as our room block at the Ridges Resort at Lake Chatuge expires on May 16th: rooms will go from $119/night (our negotiated rate) to more than $150. Register on ClubRegistration.net/reserve a room today! Please note that both registration on ClubRegistration.net and room reservation is required (call the resort at 706-896-2262). We now have over 90 members in our Appalachian Region Facebook group: this is a great way to share information about Club events, photos and/or ‘cock and bull’ with other members. It is also a great source of up-to-date information about upcoming events. It is easy to set up an account and then submit a join request. If you missed the inaugural Luft, Wasser & Brevard, you missed a terrific and well-organized event, featuring over 100 Porsches in parade and on display on Main Street in Brevard! Plans are already in progress for next year 's event with increased space for 200 cars. I am not alone in congratulating and thanking Jim Moore for his outstanding skills in organizing, promoting and leading this event!!
