Porsche just had an unlucky day at the 24 Hours of Spa, in late July. An electrical glitch on one car, an accident in the other, and various mechanical maladies with other Porsches, put all out of contention for a podium finish. At the Silverstone WEC 6 Hour Race, the factory 911RSR’s finished 2nd and 4th, in LMGTE PRO. In the LMGTE AM category, the Dempsey Racing 911RSR finished first.

While the 911RSR’s running in the GTLM class at the recent IMSA event at Road America faltered against the Ford, and Corvette group, Patrick Long and co-driver Christina Nielsen, brought their Porsche home if first place, in GTD.

Speaking of racing…the final IMSA race of the season, is Petit LeMans the weekend of 10.11-13.18, at Road Atlanta. As in previous years, PCA, PCNA, and IMSA rely on a healthy outpouring of volunteerism from PCA to work Porsche Platz. If you’d like to volunteer some of your time at the event, please connect with … JP Bourquin @ 973.261.2610, or parsippa@yahoo.com.

We will be looking for Friday and Saturday shifts…7:30-10:30; 10:30-2:00; 2:00-5:00.
