It was good to see so many of our Region members at the UNCA STEAM Studio with UNCA Motorsports!

This Saturday, the Appalachian Region will host Robbie Wallace for an engine management technical session starting at 9:30 a.m. in the conference room at Porsche Asheville. Before moving to Asheville, Robbie spent a number of years working in professional racing - Evernham, USF1, and Penske Racing - specializing in fluid systems and aerodynamics. He took a "normal" job at Borg Warner Turbo and is now managing a combined aerodynamics and simulation group developing turbochargers for many global OEM's (including a very long history supplying Porsche from BW German office). Robbie has a MSME degree in turbomachinery from VT (any other Hokies out there?) and always been a Porsche fanatic/general gear head, doing 99% of all mechanic work on his vehicles including internal engine work on a few Porsche engines.

An AR-PCA Board meeting will be held on Thursday afternoon, starting at 4pm in the conference room at Porsche Asheville. All members are welcome to attend.

Planning for the 2018 Appalachian Adventure has begun with the event to be held at the Ridges Resort at Lake Chatuge (northern Georgia) August 17th through 19th. The 2018 AA Committee will meet on Saturday, February 24 at 9:30 a.m. in the conference room at Porsche Asheville. All members interested in working on the 2018 AA are welcome to attend.

As a reminder, when attending AR meetings/events at Porsche Asheville, please park to the side and back of the facility instead of using parking spaces in front of the building reserved for customers. We are very pleased to have the continued wonderful support of Harmony Motors/Porsche Asheville!
