Breakfast Ramble in the South – Plus a Euro Auto Festival
We are off to the southern part of the region this month with a visit to the Rural Seed Restaurant in Columbus, NC.

- Location: The Rural Seed Restaurant 322 E. Mills St ( The Rural Seed is 0.8 mile from I-26 going east on Rt. 108, and only about 1/4 mile from the center of Columbus, NC.)
The Rural Seed Restaurant is a new Farm to Table restaurant in Columbus and feature specialty waffles, pancakes, french toast and variety of egg dishes. Here is the link to their web site: https://theruralseed.business.site .
To reach The Rural Seed you can drive the fast way or the scenic way. Here are the options from Asheville and Hendersonville.
- Asheville Scenic Drive – 1 hour and 5 minutes: Take 74A to connect to the NC Scenic Byway Drovers Road that will take you through Chimney Rock and Lake Lure where you’ll connect with NC-9 (after the closure) to Columbus and connecting with Mills Street.
- Hendersonville Scenic Drive – 45 minutes: Take US-25/US-176E to Howard Gap Road, to Lynn Rd/NC-108 into Columbus and look for Mills St.
- Asheville and Hendersonville Quick Way – 45 minutes from Asheville and 25 minutes from Hendersonville: I-26 down to Columbus.

if you choose, there is an added bonus that day. From Columbus you have a short drive and you can be in Greenville and attend the Euro Auto Festival being held at the Preserve at Verdae Green. There will be over 400 European makes on display on the lawns of the Preserve.
Several Appalachian Region members will be showing their Porsches including Scott Walker, Charlie Hickey, Joe Esposito and TD King. I am sure there will be others from the club. If you’re showing your car let me know so Club Members can look for you and your car.
