Drive & Dine: Parkway Highlights (2)
This Drive & Dine goes back to the basics of Asheville driving: participants will drive the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway with stops at some of the best views on the western section of the Parkway. Stops will be made at the Mt Pisgah Inn to enjoy their beautiful deck view, Graveyard Fields, and Devil's Courthouse. This Drive & Dine will be the second of two drives occurring on May 25. Participants will leave 30 minutes after the first tour and forego the short hike at Graveyard Field. Drive #1 and #2 will meet up to share lunch together at Lake Logan.
From the Parkway we'll turn north up NC-215 where we'll pass Sunburst Falls with a scenic crossing of Lake Logan. We'll have a buffett lunch on the shores of Lake Logan.
There will be a special guest on this drive and dine: Linda Goodman, the editor of "From the Regions" section in Panorama magazine. Linda is in Asheville this weekend and reads about our great events every month so she wants to experience one with all of us. Join us so Linda meets the great people of the Appalachian Region.
Lunch is scheduled at the beautiful Lake Logan Center, a private 260 acre property offering hiking, swimming and fishing. The cost for a day pass, a BBQ lunch buffet, taxes and fees will be $18 a person. We will need you to pay in advance. Please register here and pay at ClubRegistration.net To find the event on Club Registration search tours and/or Appalachian Region.
